Specify what can be built
A beautiful detail that no carpenter in Pune can execute is not a detail, it is a drawing. We design against real trades, real material sizes and real site tolerances.

The Studio
Brix takes on a limited number of projects each year, because the difference between a good home and a remarkable one is attention — and attention does not scale.
Principal Architect
Dakshata began on site, not at a desk. Her first working years were spent among masons, carpenters and electricians, watching good drawings fail because nobody had asked whether they could be built — and that is still the question she asks first.
Over 11+ years she has designed and delivered more than two hundred homes across Pune: compact apartments in Kothrud, large-format flats in Baner and Wakad, villas in Mulshi, and a boutique resort in Lonavala. She leads every Brix project personally, from the first measurement to the evening the lights go on.
Her work is consistently quiet. Natural material, generous light, and nothing in a room that has not earned its place. Clients often describe the result the same way: it feels like the home was always meant to be this way.
“I am not interested in homes that photograph well and live badly. The test is the tenth year, not the first week.”

Milestones
Dakshata graduates in architecture and spends her first years on site rather than in a studio — learning how buildings actually get built before learning how to style them.
Three years running execution for residential projects across Pune. The habit of specifying what a carpenter can actually deliver is formed here, and never leaves.
A studio built on one idea: design and execution should answer to the same person. The first project is a 2 BHK in Kothrud, delivered in forty-four days.
Rendering moves inside the studio. Clients stop approving mood boards and start approving their actual rooms.
Ground-up work begins — villas in Mulshi, a farmhouse near Satara. The practice becomes architecture as well as interiors.
An eighteen-key resort in Lonavala opens on schedule, and the studio adds hospitality to its portfolio.
Brix passes two hundred delivered projects, still with a team small enough that everyone knows every site.
How we work
A beautiful detail that no carpenter in Pune can execute is not a detail, it is a drawing. We design against real trades, real material sizes and real site tolerances.
Design and execution live under the same roof, so there is never a gap between what was drawn and what was built, and never two people to blame.
We would rather spend on one honest slab of stone than on five decorative gestures. Quiet luxury means the material is the decoration.
Before a single colour is chosen we plan the light — daylight, evening, task and accent. A badly lit room cannot be rescued by anything else.
Pune humidity, hard water and four months of monsoon decide our specifications. We choose what will still look right in a decade, not just at handover.
If a budget will not carry a brief, we say so in the first meeting rather than discovering it together in month four.
The team
A design team of six, a dedicated project manager on every live site, and a bench of carpentry, stone, electrical and painting partners we have worked with for years. Nobody on a Brix site is meeting us for the first time.

Let's begin
The studio is on Sinhagad Road and the kettle is usually on. Bring your floor plan, or just an idea of how you want to live.
